In Jason’s mind it was only a matter of months since he was travelling the world after graduating. The cold, hard reality is that he has been earning his crust in commercial property for over 15 years and now has to live vicariously through younger members of staff. Outside of work he gets great pleasure embarrassing his three young daughters with his dancing and singing.

Broomcupboard bromance - The Watts Holt story

Jon and Jason met over 10 years ago in a highly regarded local practice. Jon making a name for himself as a Building Surveyor and Jason throughly enjoying himself as a commercial agent.  Jason took the plunge to go on his own, slap-bang in the middle of the recession and during one of their regular afterwork beers it was agreed that Jon do the same.  

Sharing the ‘broom cupboard’ of an office in Poole, Jon Holt Associates and J.M. Watts Commercial Property quickly grew to take over the whole property and firmly anchored themselves in the area as a comprehensive, multi-disciplined practice.

Roll on to 2016 and the boys spotted some potential land to satisfy their continued growth.  Taking a punt they bought The Yard at 13 Loch Road without planning consent and following some sleepless nights, a few tears and a couple of tricky Planning Committee meetings got consent for a new office scheme.  Designed and project-managed in-house it seemed the perfect time to cement their mutual love for the construction industry and unruly facial hair and WATTS || HOLT was born.
