Safety is number one

At Watts Holt, we believe that health and safety is one of the primary issues during the design and construction stages of any project. It also continues throughout future building use.

Championing health and safety

We are registered with the Association for Project Safety (APS).

Our experienced team is fully conversant with the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 (CDM), providing health & safety expertise on projects across all sectors of the construction industry. WATTS HOLT are on the Clients side by ensuring they adhere to their enhanced duties and subsequent liabilities under the CDM 2015 Regulations.

As Health and Safety Consultants, our team can provide a CDM Consultancy role to Clients and Designers, by:

  • Assisting any designer appointed as Principal Designer who does not have the required in-house resource or expertise to plan, manage and coordinate health and safety.
  • Advising/assisting clients on their obligations under the CDM 2015 Regulations, including compliance advice to check that Principal Designers and Principal Contractors are carrying out their respective duties.
  • Provide a Health and Safety consultancy for notifiable projects, which includes preparing detailed Pre-Construction Information for standalone projects by way of a one-off service, or as part of our full-service package.

We ensure our clients have an effective approach to safety and risk management, which can include assuming the role of Principal Designer and Competent Person (as defined by the Management Regulations and referenced in the CDM Regulations).
